Back Episode One

An AI-assisted novel is written by a human author who uses AI tools — like large language models and image generators — as creative partners during the writing process. The human provides the vision, narrative direction, characters, and emotional core. AI helps with drafting, brainstorming, and visual production. Every word is reviewed and shaped by the author. Think of it as a new kind of collaboration — the author is still the storyteller, but with a powerful set of tools that accelerate the creative process.

Flicker: Episode One — Allocation is being released in chapters. We plan to release the first three chapters within 60 days of the campaign's end, with the complete episode available within 6 months. Backers at the Early Reader tier and above will receive chapters as they're completed, before the public release. We'll share regular production updates so you always know where things stand.

Your contribution goes directly into production. 40% funds writing and editorial work — paying for the time, tools, and revisions needed to craft a compelling story. 25% covers visual production, including AI-generated illustrations and cinematic proof-of-concept materials. 15% goes to music and sound design. The remaining 20% is split between platform costs (hosting, distribution, digital delivery) and community building (marketing, social media, backer communications).

Our initial release is digital-first — eBook, PDF, and web formats. If the campaign exceeds its goal or if there's strong demand from backers, we'll explore a limited print run as a stretch goal. We'll keep the community updated on any physical editions through our backer updates. If you'd love a print copy, let us know — backer feedback directly shapes our decisions.

Digital rewards — including chapters, storyboards, and prints — will be delivered via email and a private backer portal. You'll receive access credentials shortly after backing. Physical rewards (if applicable through stretch goals) will be shipped to the address you provide. We'll send clear instructions and timelines for every reward tier.
